If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe, who would it be?
Your mom.
What is your dream job? Do you think you’ll ever have it?
Sponsored by Monster.
My dream job is to be a writer.
No, because I'm too fucking lazy to do it.
How many times did you move growing up? How did moving (or staying put) impact your childhood?
For a Navy brat, I got pretty lucky in terms of both my dad's sea duty and the number of times we moved. My dad completed all his sea duty when I was tiny, so I don't have any memories of his being gone for months at a time (though my mother said that whenever my dad would come home, I'd be so mad at him for being gone that I would run and hide from him).
We moved from Italy to Virginia in March 1985 to a little townhouse in Virginia Beach. We moved from the townhouse to Navy housing in June 1991. Then we moved from Virginia Beach to Texas in 1994. We lived in the same little house for 12 years before moving into a bigger one (literally right across the road) in 2006.
I'd say the two moves that had the biggest impact on my childhood were moving to the States and to Texas. Obviously, moving to the States had the biggest impact because instead of being exposed to Italian as my primary language, it became a secondary language. And moving to a new state always is a big change. But I'm happy with all the moves. I have good memories of Virginia but I love Texas.
If you could get your exercise by taking a pill, would you? Why or why not?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.Hey, what's up, sponsored questions? I have to say, after the last round of morbid questions on here, I'm almost happy to see you. I have half a mind to submit "Where would you like your cemetery plot to be located?" as a question, as it would fit the theme of the last round.
To answer the question, no. That would be the lazy way out.
Which relative - dead or alive - do you wish you knew better?
Lord, what is with all the depressing QotD's lately? Is this a signal that this site is about to fold or something?
Whatever, I'm not close to any of my relatives, so take your pick.
Do you plan to be buried, cremated, cryogenically frozen or something else?
Submitted by aynge. What the fuck kind of question is this? I thought I'd never say this, but bring back the sponsored questions.
Why do you love your body?
Sponsored by Body by Victoria®from Victoria's Secret.
Because I have long legs and my arms aren't super skinny like a weak girl's.
AND MY HAIR IS FINALLY GROWING. Watching Sookie on True Blood makes me miss being blond, so as soon as my hairdresser comes back, I'm gonna go blond again.
Thanks, sponsored question from Vox, for this completely vain post.
What is the first movie you saw in the the theater?
I'm pretty sure it was Oliver and Company. My mom and one of her friends took me. I remember crying through most of it...but in my defense, I was only 4!
According to IMDB, it came out in November 1988...so Pat was less than a year old. I know for sure he wasn't with us...so where was he? Probably at home. Lol I dunno why I'm wondering this now.
What's one thing a houseguest should always do?
Clean up after yourself! Except my parents, of course. They could stand to do a little less cleaning when they come visit me ;)
